The following are examples of problems that we have found with similar products on the market today and how we are prepared to address them.
While certain stringed instrument color coding products are easily installed and removed without having to unmount the strings on your instrument, they can tend to bubble when not installed very carefully. The material these products use have a stretchy quality which can make installation troublesome due to the necessary step of fitting it uniformly tight and wrapped around the neck of a guitar.
(With our stringed instrument products, even though you may need to remove the strings or simply loosen them, we feel it is a small sacrifice to make when modifying your instrument, which in most cases, you will only have to do once. Our stickers are removable as well, but we feel that once you install them you will not want to remove them at all, as they will inherently become part of your instrument and create amazing possibilities for you.)
With excessive playing, some of these stinged instrument color coding products tend to shift slightly because they create a little friction on the back of the guitar neck with a continuous sliding hand. This can cause small wrinkles in the material that they use to develop over time.
(Our stringed instrument products do not wrap around the neck of an instrument and therefore leave the natural wood finish exposed, keeping the original smooth surface for your hand to slide against the back of the neck of the guitar. This is crucial for long extended periods of continuous play.)
Some of these stringed instrument color coding products only cover part of the instruments fretboard or finger board, leaving other frets or areas on your instrument uncoded.
(Our stringed instrument products cover the fret board and finger board completely, so you can use it in its entirety. You dont have to be limited to half of the instrument anymore. You can play higher pitched notes with confidence.)
The color coding systems on some of these instrument products do not take into account the five accidental or half notes found in music.
(Our system codes the half notes in an efficient, elegant and historical way. This enables us to impart a great deal of musical information in a quick and effective manner.)
Some of our competitors provide several separate stringed instrument color coding systems (i.e. different products), so you have to remove one for the other when wanting to play notes versus wanting to play chords.
(Our stringed instrument products are a one stop shop for the entire spectrum of music theory application. You can learn just about any aspect of music with only one set of color coded stickers, not to mention that our products cover an extensive array of musical instruments.)
Some of these products out there are good indicators of where musical notes are located on stringed instruments (i.e. using the actual note names in written form). However, they contain no built in color coding system, relying on the user to create their own color coding systems through the use of additional colored sticker tabs.
(Our products are built from the bottom up, inherently possessing a color coding system for displaying musical notes. This system is fixed and never changes, which creates a great deal of consistency and continuity. We believe that there is very little room for the improvement of our products with respect to design. We are working every day on perfecting the materials we use to create our stickers.
Most products out there provide little in the way of music theory manuals, as in a resource or method of playing chords or scales. This can end up limiting certain novice users from using an otherwise good product to its full potential.
(With our products, we provide an extensive and well researched method for imparting music theory in the form of musical scales, chords, progressions and modulations. We have done all the work for you and following along is very easy and enjoyable.
Some products make it difficult for the visually impaired to discern between all the notes on a fret board. This is due to the written form of the musical notes because written notes tend to become blurred at some distance away, especially for those who cant focus very well.
(Our products use six colors plus white to display the pattern of all musical notes on musical instruments. These colors are easily discernible from each other, even from some distance away and even for someone who wears eye glasses and may have poor eye sight.
Of coarse, these are only our opinions, so dont take our word for it without checking it out for yourself. Look into it should you happen to know what products we are referring to. Unfortunately though, we can't point you in the right direction for legal reasons. Anyway, you may find that these systems do meet all your musical needs as they are still, in our opinion, great products. However, if your looking for something different and more evolved, with years of extensive research and methodology, come back to MUSICAL COLORS and join our growing family.
